Bio
Carrie provides practical and effective legal counsel on a variety of employment and labor law matters including discipline and performance, workplace investigations, legal compliance, and labor relations. As a Partner at Barron Quinn Blackwood, PLLC, she brings two decades of knowledge and experience in the law of the workplace.
Prior to joining the firm, Carrie represented union workers as Senior Legal Counsel, Training and Development Director, and Lead Negotiator. In this role, she supported the resolution of countless workplace conflicts through effective counsel, negotiation, advocacy, mediation, administrative hearings, and arbitration.
Throughout her education and career she has continually worked with ethnically diverse and socially marginalized populations as a leader, activist, and mentor to collectively achieve social justice in every arena including educational, legal, and employment access. Carrie has served as an appointed member of the Washington State Bar Association Diversity Committee, volunteers legal services, is a long-time mentor for the Law, Diversity and Justice Program at Fairhaven College, and is active in various organizations in our community.
She shares her passion for travel, the outdoors, learning and the natural world with her family.
Carrie is a graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law where she concentrated in Labor and Employment Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Western Washington University’s Fairhaven College’s Law and Diversity Program.
