Please see the attached Emergency Administrative Order No. 20-8-B. This Emergency Order is comprehensive so we recommend you take the time to review it in full. Notable updates include, but are not limited to:

The Friday, 9:30am Civil Motions Calendar is no longer being heard “on the pleadings”. Parties are to appear on that calendar using the entry information from our Daily Calendar which can be found here:

    https://www.skagitcounty.net/SuperiorCourt/documents/schedule/courtroomschedule.pdf

Non-appearance by the moving party on the 9:30am Civil Motions Calendar will result in the motion being struck.

In addition, the Friday, 9:00 am and 1:30pm Domestic Motions Calendars and the Monday, 9:00am Domestic Motions Calendar will require appearance to the calendar via Zoom (video or telephonic ) on all matters except for Child Support Motions which will be heard on the pleadings unless oral argument is requested by the Judicial Officer. Court Administration will no longer be sending out the domestic calendars as all matters will require appearance other than the Child Support Motions.

Also, please note that the Monday ARY/CHINS Calendar is moving from 1:30pm to 2:00pm.

The changes noted above are not the only changes in the new order. Please read the Order carefully before contacting Court Administration with any questions.

Skagit County Superior Court is moving to a different platform for phone and video hearings beginning Monday, July 20, 2020.  Zoom will allow for better attorney-client confidentiality and is already in use for our bench trials.  General account access information to our regular calendars is attached.  Importantly, the attached is a general guideline as to the case types the accounts will be used for.  These are subject to change so please review the Daily Calendar on our webpage the morning of your scheduled hearing to view the account connection information for your hearing.   More information about our bench trial protocols and procedures, related forms, and answers to frequently asked questions with connecting to video court are available on our website: SkagitCounty.net/Departments/SuperiorCourt

If you or your clients and witnesses would like to familiarize yourselves with Zoom beforehand, here are a few resources that may be helpful:
